A redesigned website

The American Battle Monuments Commission has announced March 4, 2025, the launch of its newly redesigned website, offering a more accessible and user-friendly platform for visitors to explore the history and legacies of American servicemen and women at its sites worldwide.

The updated website, available at www.abmc.gov, features a smoother, more intuitive user experience, designed to make it easier for visitors to connect with the agency’s mission and learn about the sacrifices of U.S. service members.

The redesign underscores ABMC’s ongoing dedication to honoring those who have served in the U.S. armed forces. It offers a more dynamic digital experience for people interested in exploring the organization’s cemeteries, monuments, memorials and the stories associated with them.

Key features of the new website:

  • Enhanced navigation: The new site features a streamlined design, making it easier for users to find valuable information, including sections like “Plan Your Visit” and “Discover the History,” which offer insights into ABMC sites and their historical significance.
  • Mobile optimization: The site is fully responsive, ensuring a smooth browsing experience on all devices, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Interactive features: The website includes interactive maps, virtual tours and a searchable database of service members, allowing users to explore ABMC’s global sites and their history, as well as discovering individual stories and the history of the conflicts.
  • Updated content: The redesigned site features engaging content, including historical context, visitor information and multimedia elements, bringing the stories of memorialized U.S. service members to life.
  • Enhanced accessibility: The updated website meets the latest accessibility standards, ensuring that all users, including individuals with disabilities, can easily access and engage with the content.

A commitment to preserving and sharing history

The redesign of ABMC website is part of a broader effort to modernize the agency’s digital platforms, enhancing the visitor experience both online and at ABMC sites around the world. This initiative reflects ABMC’s commitment to preserving the legacy of U.S. service members and ensuring that their stories are accessible to all. Through this platform, ABMC aims to provide a deeper understanding of the significance of its sites and the sacrifices made by those who fought for a better future.

By launching this new website, ABMC ensures Gen. John J. Pershing’s promise that, “time will not dim the glory of their deeds” is fulfilled.
